Maintaining a positive atmosphere in the web can be quite hard. It is important to always be aware of what you are texting and posting. Cyber bullying has been an epidemic in the past years and is a serious issue. According to teensafe.com 87% of today's youth has experienced or will experience a form of cyberbullying. Close to 34% of students acknowledge that they have experienced cyberbullying. Another 15% of surveyed students admit to cyberbullying, and 24% of our sons and daughters have reported that they don't know what to do if they were harrassed online. It is blantly obvious that it is making an impact in our youth directly. According to stop bullying.gov. Bullying can affect everyone. Those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness the bullying. Bullying is linked to many  negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use, and suicide. It is important to talk to the kids and determine whether or not bullying or something else is a concern. The use of technology has skyrocketed in the recent years. We are looking at a world that will soon be using technology as its first form of socializing. The world we live in today has slowly become more and more reliable on internet. Social media etiquette is something our society lacks. We need to understand the importance of keeping social media friendly and safe. The power of social media can be aptly understood by the fact that the right social strategy can build or destroy a brand. In business mistakes on social media platforms are costly and they can put millions of dollars at stake. According to socialnomics.net , social media has become an all important aspect of modern business. In this day and age, if a company aspires to be successful it needs to weave a social media strategy within their overall marketing efforts. Failure to take advantage of social media platforms can result in loss potential and declining business rates. It's no wonder that 76% of businesses feel that Facebook and Instagram offer them the best chances of growth. Although social media can have his downfall, it is also a key tool to business contacting friends and family and some media users are even able to make a large income directly from the sites. YouTube and Twitch have really made a come up this past year with job opportunities. People have been getting beyond successful by playing simple video games. Small ads have been posted to help the content creator and the site producer. With the help of the people in our society, a positive atmosphere can be created. We will be able to use social media to its full potential and help better our world. With less negativity on the web there will be more peace which could solve many problems our world faces. Social media has its high's and its low's but I can assure you it's here to stay.
