If you would like help with the FAFSA (Federal Application for Federal Student Aid) join us Thursday, April 5th, in the Coach Trantham's computer lab room in the band hall on the high school campus beginning at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

If your student is a Blooming Grove Senior, you are invited to attend our Senior Parent Meeting on Tuesday, February 27th at 6 PM in the high school library.

We are seeing many cases of flu and strep. Please help us keep the illnesses down by doing the following:
1. Wash your hands frequently. Soap and water are the best. Hand sanitizer works when you cannot use soap and water.
2. Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, then wash your hands.
3. Stay home until you are 24 hours fever free without taking any medicine.
Students can bring hand sanitizer and a bottle to drink water out of to avoid sharing germs.
Please remember that returning to school before you are well or fever free makes it easier to get sick again and exposes others to the germs.

The nomination window for Gifted and Talented Spring Assessment opens January 8 and runs through January 26 for all 1st through 12th grade students in the district not previously identified for G/T services. Parents, teachers, administrators, counselors, or even the students themselves may complete a nomination form for G/T testing. The nomination forms are available at each of the BGISD campuses. Completed nomination forms should be returned to the nominee's campus by January 26.
Blooming Grove ISD screens all Kindergarten students for the Gifted and Talented Program. No nominations are required for Kindergarten students.

Help support our Blooming Grove High School Life Skills students with the purchase of a BG Special Olympics tshirt. Orders are due by Friday, November 3rd.

When do we set our clocks back? Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 5, at 2:00 A.M. Now, we “fall back” by setting your clocks back one hour.
You may want to set your clock before you head to bed on Saturday night.

The BGHS Student Council will be hosting a "Change Drive" for all campuses beginning Monday, October 23rd-27th. The money collected will go to the American Cancer Society. There will be a competition between each category: Pre-K - 2nd, 3rd-5th, junior high, and high school. The class that raises the most money in each category wins a prize to be awarded on November 3rd.

WHAT IS RED RIBBON WEEK? It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon, October 23 - 31st.

Enjoy a three day weekend! There is no school on Monday, October 9th.
