Juror for the contest was professional artist and college art instructor, Laura Brisceno. Cash awards were given to the first, second, and third place winners. There were over 200 entries in the elementary, middle school, and high school categories.
This theme for the 2023 Navarro Council of the Arts Youth Art contest is “Happy 175th Birthday, Corsicana!” The exhibition opens in time for Derrick Days on Saturday, April 29th and runs through May 18th.
In addition to the winners listed above, BGHS is also represented by the following student artists: Madeleine Brown, Josie Ann Erwin, Christopher Flores, Roselyn Cano Hernandez, Esmaelia Lawhon, Colt Mink, and Dayleen Suda."
