Parents are welcome to sit in on and be a part of my classes by prearranged appointment.
This is my 11th year to answer the call to teach at BG. In these past years I have taught 6th and 7th grade science at the junior high, and at the high school I have taught a Leadership elective, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Systems, Chemistry, Physics and AP Chemistry.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Charisa ("charisma" without the "m"), and we have one daughter, Christian, who is now 21, a graduate of Rockwall ISD.
I share the life goal with my wife to visit all the United States National Parks, share and experience the history left behind, the natural wonders that God has created, and climb large and small mountains together in our walk with Christ.
I graduated from Dallas Christian College with a dual Bachelor of Science in Bible and Psychology and have a Master of Arts in Professional Development from Dallas Baptist University. I utilize my education and experience here at BG as a teacher of effective problem solving and scientific discussion, and I also work for the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas in some of my off time.
As the 20-21 school year begins, students in any of my science classes will need at least 1-2 composition books, loose leaf COLLEGE RULED PAPER, a scientific calculator (TI-30X is best option) and pens and pencils. Note taking is best when done in different colors, during class or later during their own review.
Because of current guidelines, students may need their own colored pencils, glue sticks and scissors.
