Welcome to English I!
A little bit about our class:
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and dive into the wonderful world of literature and writing. This school year will be full of reading wonderful books, engaging in discussion, exploring some of the greatest works of literature, and discovering your inner literary genius!
A little bit about your teacher:
My name is Sarah Adair and I teach English I and some of the Dual Credit English courses here at BGHS. A few of my biggest passions in life include reading, writing, and sharing my love of those two things with others. Teaching English allows me to explore literature with my students and help them to appreciate its wonder. It also allows me to help my students discover how to use their own skills in writing to express themselves in many different ways. In 2013 I graduated from Tarleton State University with a BA in English. Immediately after graduating, I decided to pursue an MA in English as well. I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Tarleton throughout my graduate career. I taught various composition courses, like Integrated Reading and Writing, English 1301, and English 1302. As soon as I graduated with my MA in August of 2015, I moved to Blooming Grove and began teaching at BGHS. It has been a grand adventure so far and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
